Faith Based Optimism
Read Romans 8:31-39, Psalm 40:11-13
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11NLT
One of the greatest gifts of God's grace is optimism based on faith in who God is and in what He has done and promises to do.
The weeds of bitterness of life in a sin sick world that sometime seem to choke us are rooted in our old nature and should find no room to grow when we are filled with the joy of the Lord.
The cares of this world are cause for concern. We have more questions than answers about the future of our country and civilization in general. The inerrant Word of God assures us that we should not fear the troubles of this world because He has overcome them.
God is all powerful. He is in control of the world he created and everything and everyone in it. He has the power to turn the worst into best and evil into good.
To know the real God is to know the good God. The proof of His goodness was proven on the cross. His plans not to harm us, but to give us a future and a hope have come to fruition in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
When our optimism is anchored in the belief that God is working all things for our good and His glory, and to conform us into the very image of Christ we can truly rejoice and give thanks even in times of trouble.
God has made a way for us to endure and grow through even the worst of circumstances. Jesus is the Way. He lived the perfect life and won the war over sin and death on the Cross.
He lives in the hearts of all believers as the Holy Spirit to give us the power to live grace filled lives.
Father, in your mercy, give me the grace of Optimism in Christ. In Jesus' name, Amen
"LORD, don't hold back your tender mercies from me. My only hope is in your unfailing love and faithfulness." Psalm 40:11 NLT
. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away." Romans 8:38b NLT
